Every year Multan Board organizes the 5th and 8th class exams under the supervision of Punjab Examination Commission (PEC). PEC is functioning in the Punjab province and was established in 2005 by the government of the Punjab. Multan board conducts exams for Pakpatan, Khanewal, Vehari, Sahiwal, Lodhran districts. It is self-regulating body and aims to supervise and examine the elementary and middle exams in Punjab province. There are regular and private schools in each district of Punjab and all are linked with PEC. PEC conducts the 5th and 8th class exams of 37 districts of Punjab. In the month of February PEC conducts the 5th and 8th class exams and result announcement date is fixed. All the boards declare the results on March 31.
